Friends of EAAF supports the application of forensic sciences to the investigation of human rights violations and humanitarian crises all around the globe.

We do this by making grants to EAAF (Equipo Argentino de Antropología Forense) and other similar organizations and partners that support forensic action on human rights and raise awareness of the role forensic sciences plays in the pursuit of truth and accountability for violations of human rights.

Democracy is at a turning point. Governments increasingly use lies and deception to twist public grievances, remain in power, and take away hard-earned freedoms. Honest witnesses to horrific crimes are routinely discredited, and perpetrators continue to get away with murder.

But for the last 40 years, forensic sciences has provided hard evidence that perpetrators cannot ignore. Forensic evidence backs-up survivor testimony, tells the stories that other victims cannot, and helps convict former heads of state and other high-profile perpetrators across the globe for crimes against humanity. Communities across the world need the stories told by forensic evidence. Friends of EAAF helps them be told.
